Our courts are seen as a premium surface with ‘give’ – a softness unique to grass which comes with some natural slip factor. It’s up to players to sweep courts prior to play, if they wish to smooth out sand moved by prior-play. It’s just a given that tennis players worldwide rarely sweep courts after use, so the best bet is to sweep before you use the court – if you think it needs it.
