Light Night – official opening of our new facilities

Last Friday night, Peregian Tennis Club hosted an ‘opening’ party to launch their new court lighting and fencing project. The club’s overhaul was funded by a grant from the Queensland Government Get Playing Places and Spaces program. The dual-facelift saw a complete replacement of court fences, plus a new LED-lighting system. Kindy kids back on court

40 kindy kids swapped their usual playground for our tennis club last week.  We introduced these lively 4 and 5-year-olds to the game,  with two mornings of tennis-activities run by our court manager Andrew. He was assisted by Kindy Alumni Josh Baker-Lahey (now in Grade 12), John Richardson (club member) and club president Kim.  If their keen swings and beaming …

Our club raised over $1,500 for Aussie farmers at this morning’s smoko

Thank you to everyone who came along and those who baked and contributed for the much-needed drought aid. In particular thank you to Karin Allen who instigated this fundraiser and to our Friday men’s group who were core supporters. Thank you IGA for  donating the delicious fruit platter. All proceeds from the morning go directly to buy-a-bale.

This …
