Peregian Beach is set to host a mega cancer-fundraiser morning tea on Wednesday May the 27th, and they want you there to join in the fun … and the ‘yum’!
Sought-after prizes and a delicious ‘as-long-as-you-like’ morning tea make this the perfect morning to catch up with friends, colleagues or family. To cater for all tastes, Peregian’s offering a progressive morning tea, aiming to make it the ‘biggest, longest morning tea’ this lively little village has hosted yet.
The morning kicks off with Peregian Tennis Club’s ‘hit for a cure’ from 9am for social tennis, breakfast and a cuppa. Then the Peregian Community House hosts their biggest morning tea from 10.30am, with entertainment from talented coastal musician Ebony*, loads of prizes, unlimited deliciousness, and an opportunity to hear what is happening on in Peregian’s new ‘green space’.
So gather your friends, family or colleagues for a fun way to help make a difference. Boys, this one’s for you too! Just stop for a cuppa on your way to work or the beach, or make a morning out of it.
Proceeds from the day go straight to the Cancer Council for cancer prevention and research as well as support services for those left scarred by ops and gruelling treatments. Thanks to research and science there are inroads being made into better outcomes for those with this horrible disease, so here’s your chance to help by having a fantastic day out!
Peregian Beach’s Biggest, Longest (and most delicious!) Morning Tea is a collaboration between Peregian Beach Community House, Annie’s Bookshop and Peregian Beach Tennis Club, so you can pick up a ticket from all three placess. Your $10 ticket covers both the tennis and community house events. Raffle tickets put you in the draw to win some fantastic prizes – listed below – whether you can attend or not. All proceeds from the mega mornning tea go to the Cancer Council.
Local businesses can still donate prizes for our raffle and bakers out there are very welcome to rustle up their favourite cake or slice to donate!
Thank you to tennis club member Karin Allen and Jan Chaseling (Peregian Community House) for organising this event. For more information email info@peregianbeachcommunityhouse.org
