Skills Alliance team give Peregian Tennis club a facelift

An offer to completely repaint our whole clubhouse inside and out – for free – is an offer we accept with much surprise and gratitude.

As a little three-court not-for-profit club that needs to diligently put aside any surplus funds towards re-surfacing our courts, we’re very grateful to the team who have offered to re-paint our thirsty little clubhouse. This is not something our club could have afforded within the next few years and it means our clubhouse will be back to its best to entice more people to keep fit and active.

We welcome the Skills Alliance Community Work Skills Project team trainees to our club from 9 to 13 October.  The team is about to graduate as they’ve completed 17 out of 18 weeks of their Certificate I in Construction, by working on recreation spaces and facilities across the Sunshine Coast.  Our club has supplied the paint and the brushes, the team has done the rest.

And that’s not all, the talented team have also used their building skills to construct a new bench-seat and re-furbish our tired old noticeboard.  Our clubhouse is looking the best it ever has!

Peregian Tennis club thank the supervisor Gary and his team and congratulate the trainees on a job well done.
