The New Community house build has started next door, due for completion mid-Nov. with the old house becoming part of the Digital Hub. Like to know more? Peek at  map/design/timelines on council’s website https://www.noosa.qld.gov.au/wip.   Council asked us to remind everyone to ensure vigilant supervision of kids around Rufous St with trucks going to-and-fro. Disruptions will be over eventually & we’ll have a great benefit from community connection with the new house & the myriad of activities/opportunities on offer.

Our club’s own Defib is installed in our kitchen area, ideally all members do the free training at https://defibtech.com.au/pages/training-and-education. Our model is Lifeline View AEDAll groups have members with an upstairs key; any member is welcome to have a key too, just ask our court manager. Take a look at the Defib when you get your tea/coffee, or on your way to the bathroom, to familiarise yourself with where it is & how to access it.

Also, Noosa Council’s offering a FREE day-long First Aid Training session for two club members. This Provide First Aid course (HLTAID003 including CPR), is a general course suitable for sports clubs & covers adults/children/babies in emergencies. Register Here for Sat 24 April or Here for Thurs 29 April. First in, best dressed.

Court Lights: We’ve installed a light-box add-on to prevent light-drivers fusing. At the same time, we’ve re-installed our court-lights auto-switch-off at 10pm. This auto-switch is re-installed as we had a few instances of lights left on overnight. Also, noise law ‘quiet hours’ are 10 pm & 7am, and our club is alongside a residential area.Night players please switch lights off earlier as you finish playing and if there’s only a couple of you, make use of the use Court-3-lights only.

Volunteers have formed the backbone of our little self-funded club & our club’s been run by a management committee since 1980. The club then has a lease agreement with our court manager who co-ordinates all tennis comps/activities & keeps the courts running smoothly. Would you like to put your hand up to contribute to your club in 2022, as committee president or secretary? You’ll have plenty of support & the workload’s light – it’s really about relationships inside/outside the club, website, newsletter, & meetings/minutes. All big facilities upgrades have been completed over the last five years & were funded by grants which has left our club is in a great financial state with minimal upgrades for a few years now. Email me on info@peregiantennisclub.com.au or give call 0403 681 833 if you’re interested.

Enjoy your tennis and let’s all be part of the positive & welcoming vibe our club exudes to everyone who comes here.
